Buoyant Innocence

Dates: September 29, 2007 to October 20, 2007

Time: Tuesday - Saturday, 10a - 6pm and Sunday, 12 - 5pm

Location: 211 East First Street, Sanford, FL

Description: North Carolina artist Cher Shaffer has a body of work that stirs the imagination. She captures a buoyant innocence in her vibrant, loose portraits of children, angels, cats, and women barefoot in the garden. Other works suggest a deep complexity that lives beneath the surface. This show will feature works on paper, wood, and fabric. Meet the artist at the opening reception on Saturday, September 29 from 1 to 4pm.
