History's Charming Faces: The Sanford Series2

Dates: July 14, 2007 to August 26, 2007

Time: Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 6pm, Sunday 12 - 5pm

Location: 211 East First Street, Sanford, FL

Description: Using historic photographs from daily life in 19th and 20th century Sanford, Linda Schapper has created touching vignettes of people and places long gone. A textile artist by day, Linda enjoys the simplicity of painting and refers to this body of work as her "Grandma Moses style." Celery farmers, orange grove workers, a parade float full of suffragettes, and the local postmaster wtih his dog are just a few of the charming faces you'll enjoy.
