About the Event
Join Jeanine Taylor Folk Art for a group show with a wry lens focused on country’s southernmost state and all its eccentricities – Florida Gothic. From the western corner of the Bermuda Triangle to the heart of the Villages, the strangeness of the state is far reaching and lends a wellspring of inspiration to five Floridian self-taught artists.
Look forward to featured art from Alyne Harris, Rick Kilby, Melissa Menzer, Jon Napoles and the late Kurt Zimmerman. Each artist will shine a spotlight on what lurks beneath the surface of tannin waters found in their home state and provide a visual key of Florida Gothic architypes.
A bookend to last fall’s Southern Gothic blockbuster show, Florida Gothic narrows the field of vision to the dark side of the sunshine state. Join us!
