Michael Michaud’s botanical jewelry is world-renowned. His work captures
the beauty and exquisite detail of nature using soft patinas on bronze
accented with pearls, beads and stones. Each piece possesses such exacting
detail that can only be found in nature.
 
This unique jewelry is made by creating molds directly from botanicalelements in a process similar to lost-wax casting. While traditional lost-waxcasting begins with a hand-carved model of wax, Michaud instead uses anactual leaf, branch, or flower in place of the wax model. As the wax mold Isformed around the element and heated, the plant matter burns away andleaves behind a beautifully detailed mold of itself.
 
Michael Michaud Jewelry has been commissioned to create collections forThe Victoria & Albert Museum, The Art Institute in Chicago, The NationalGallery of Art and the Chateau de Versailles. His work has been featured in Vogue Italia and in the 2019 adaptation of Little Women.
