Art in the Garden

We have certainly been sent some “lemons” lately so let’s make lemonade and welcome my summer show: Art in the Garden.

Many of you will remember this show when I partnered with Lisa and Eric Apen. Their garden shop, Apenberrys, was formerly the Morse Museum in Winter Park, FL. As you can imagine, it was a stunning backdrop for a treasure trove of folk art.

For it’s second iteration, Art in the Garden will be hosted at my gallery and the flora will come to us. I’ve teamed up with local nursery owner, Erin Schneider of Everly After Gardens to bring to you a carefully curated selection of unique plants… Bromeliads, succulents, crocodile ferns – oh my!

In order to abide by social distancing precautions, we’ve decided to forgo our usual big bustling (crowded) show opening reception. Art in the Garden will present as a Summer Art Series in lieu of the traditional show run (opening reception/closing reception). Throughout the summer, expect to find new elements and art added to the existing roster of features along with rotating plant options.

To kick off this new concept, expect to see new art from Bailey Jack, Marian Baker, Theresa Disney, Lucy Hunnicutt and Tres Taylor (coming soon!). They too have decided to pitch in with the “lemonade stand” and create work especially for the Art in the Garden - Summer Art Series.

Stay tuned as we update you on events as they unfold and don’t forget to stop and smell the roses.

Artfully yours,

JT
