Kent Ambler Helps Usher in the Spring!
Fresh off the north wind, Kent Ambler and his lovely wife Peggy stopped by the gallery and provided us with a springtime refresh. His reverence for all creatures carries over into his art with dashing Boston Terriers, curious crows, and opportunistic cats.
His quiet humor takes center stage with odes to procrastination like “There’s Always Tomorrow” or life’s simple pleasures as exemplified in “Cake and Beer”.
Enjoy this mix of limited run woodblock prints and artist proofs from South Carolina’s favorite printer, Kent Ambler.
You're invited to join us and escape for an evening of specialty spirits, art, crafts, fashion, and live music for a good cause. Guests can flow between Jeanine Taylor Folk Art and Magpies Modern General for a festive celebration to benefit the Ixora Garden Club of Sanford (established in 1965!). Clara McLain will be performing a magical classical guitar set.
Jeanette Comtois returns this summer for another three day summer art camp for grades 3rd through 5th! Students will create self-portraits and animal portraits on unusual materials. Students will leave with multiple finished pieces ready to don the halls of their own home gallery. Parents and friends are welcome to join us on the final day of camp for our student art show opening reception!
